If getActivity() requires an active Environment, then that fact should be published in the JavaDocs and there should be a well-advertised way in jBPM to get an Enviroment (and close it when I'm done with it). Right now, the Environment interface isn't even in the jBPM public API. As a user, I don't know what an Environment is, what it is used for, or how long I should keep one around. You open and close an environment which is defined by jBPMs IoC Container, much like you open and close a hibernate session. [JBoss Tools] - Helios does not recognize JBoss 6.0 Runtime as JEE6 environment

Now when I try to create e.g. an EJB Project and set the "Target Runtime" to "JBoss 6.0 Runtime" based on a JBAS 6.0-M3 I loose the option to set the "EJB Module Version" to 3.1. Only 3.0 is available. Same is true for "Enterprise Application Projects". I can only set the the "EAR Version" to 5.0. No 6.0 is available. Now when I set the "Target Runtime" to my Glassfish 3 Runtime I have all the JEE6 options available. Is there a workaround for that to enable JEE6 stuff for the JBoss 6 Runtime or is it a bug in the Tools code? That bug sounds correct. I retested the example against JBoss 4.2.3 like the readme suggested and it worked ok. I'm not using EAP. Being new to Seam I followed the tutorials and cheat sheets. Essentially, build project, Make Deployable then Run. It is possible to avoid this by creating an EnvironmentImpl object before calling the method on Activity, but since EnvironmentImpl is not part of the public interface and ActivityExecution.getActivity() is, this is not a good solution.
