Hi all and especially to Kris Verlaenen,
i have read same post about Process Data Input posted by Bruce Silver, Falko Menge and Kris Verlaenen
1. http://www.brsilver.com/2011/04/15/bpmn-2-0-mystery-process-datainput-and... http://www.brsilver.com/2011/04/15/bpmn-2-0-mystery-process-datainput-and...
2. http://www.brsilver.com/2011/04/20/more-on-bpmn-2-0-process-data-input/ http://www.brsilver.com/2011/04/20/more-on-bpmn-2-0-process-data-input/
3. http://kverlaen.blogspot.com/2011/04/bpmn-20-data-associations-discussion... http://kverlaen.blogspot.com/2011/04/bpmn-20-data-associations-discussion...
4. http://www.brsilver.com/2011/04/22/still-more-on-process-data-input/ http://www.brsilver.com/2011/04/22/still-more-on-process-data-input/
and so i tried to model two process in two distinct file, superProcessDataObject and subProcessDataObject (see attachment).
In superProcessDataObject i have define a Call Activity that start the process defined in subProcessDataObject, for to do this i have open superProcessDataObject in a text editor and i wrote the calledElement's attribute manually.
The InputOutputSpecification of the Call Activity defines one Data Input with identical *name* of Data Input specified in subProcessDataObject, in according a BPMN2.0 spec p218 (PDF248) "+The DataInputs and DataOutputs of the Call Activity are mapped to the corresponding elements in the+
+CallableElement without any explicit DataAssociation.+" it is right?
Also, i have set an InputAssociation that assigns a property of superProcessDataObject to the DataInput of the Call Activity.
The subProcessDataObject is defined as Kris explain in his blogs, thinking jbpm5 works according his opinion on BPMN 2.0:
http://community.jboss.org/servlet/JiveServlet/showImage/2-606081-16410/s... http://community.jboss.org/servlet/JiveServlet/downloadImage/2-606081-164...
But the test case, that i attached, fails because no parameter is passed to User Task. Does anyone know why? Did i forget something?
I also tried to use identical *id* (instead the *name*) of the Data Input of the Call Activity and the Data Input of the subProcessDataObject
Thanks in advance,
Francesco.

Hi all!
I tried Eclipse Helios with JbossTools 3.2.0GA and Seam 2.2.2 Final using Jboss 4.2.3 GA. The installation goes all ok.
Making "seam properties" (2.2.2 Final) ok
Making "new seam project" ok
Making "new server" (jboss) ok
I see now the wellcome page with the "standard" seam first page (with the example of login) and it works!!!
Now I became more expert and try to "reverse engineer" from a DB of one table (tabellaA).
Making "Seam Generate Entities" ok
But now when I try to see at the homepage "Browse data"->"TabellaA List" jboss goes in error (it follows). Does anyone the reason or encoutered the same error?
Thanks!

[JBoss Cache] - Cache enries not removed from JDBM filestore with passivation enabled

Hi,
so unfortunately I have JBoss Cache instance that uses a Jdbm cache loader as a persistent store and given the heap of crap that JBoss Cache is, there is no way to force expiration from the cache loader so I have to use a batch process which runs daily to clear out the cache.
Thing is that even with passivation enabled, the remove method doesn't clear out the file store which completely flies in the face of the User's Guide. Sure, the Fqns are no longer accessible but the physical store still contains the dead cached data which means that the only way to clear the store completely is to stop the cache, physically remove the Jdbm files and restart the cache. I've tried this out with a very simple setup using Infinispan too and the same results.
Surely there has to be some other way to purge the store? Would moving to Berkely DB help or even JDBC (thus returning back to the reason why I'm using the cache in the first place?)

[JBoss Web Services] - RESTEasy stateful beans(SessionScoped)

Hello,
Does anybody know how i can use SessionScopes beans?
Example:
Client
public class RestClient {
private static final String uri = "http://localhost:8080/xxRest";
public static void main(String[] args) {
// this initialization only needs to be done once per VM
RegisterBuiltin.register(ResteasyProviderFactory.getInstance());
CookieHandler.setDefault(new CookieManager(null, CookiePolicy.ACCEPT_ALL));
Service1 service1 = ProxyFactory.create(Service1.class, uri);
Service2 service2 = ProxyFactory.create(Service2.class, uri);
service1.putName("Hallo Welt");
System.out.println( service1.getName());
System.out.println(service2.getName());
}
}
Server side:
Service 1
public class Service1Impl implements Service1{
@Inject
private ParamBean bean;
@Override
public String getName() {
return bean.getName();
}
@Override
public void putName(String name) {
bean.setName(name);
}
}
Service 2
public class Service2Impl implements Service2{
@Inject
private ParamBean bean;
@Override
public String getName() {
return bean.getName();
}
}
Bean
@SessionScoped
public class ParamBean implements Serializable{
private static final long serialVersionUID = -3890162219225972547L;
private String name;
public void setName(String name) {
this.name = name;
}
public String getName() {
return name;
}
}
But i get always a new ParamBean in Service 2. So the log output is:
Hallo Welt
null
=(
Does anybody know how i can inject the session scoped param bean in a second serivce?

[JBoss Web Services] - jbossws-native: Publish HttpContext via Endpoint API

"jbossws-native: Publish HttpContext via Endpoint API"
To view the discussion, visit: http://community.jboss.org/message/605513#605513
--------------------------------------------------------------
Hello all,
I'm using jboss-5.1.0.GA and currently upgraded jbossws-native to version 3.4.1.GA.
Previously (as in jbossws-native 3.1.2.GA) I was able to publish a Web Service programmatically (via Endpoint) to the container's HTTP server.
One could either use the static Endpoint.+publish+ or get hold of the running HTTP server/context, eg:
Endpoint endpoint = Endpoint.create(implementor);
SPIProvider spiProvider = SPIProviderResolver.getInstance().getProvider();
*HttpServer* httpServer = spiProvider.getSPI(*HttpServerFactory*.class).getHttpServer();
HttpContext context = httpServer.createContext(path);
endpoint.publish(context);
However, as I understand it after refactoring jbossws-native, the default HTTP server for endpoint publishing is now Netty, as opposed to the container's Apache Tomcat. This refactoring is also evident in the code as *HttpServerFactory* has been removed from the library!
My question is: How can I maintain the previous behavior, i.e. acquire the container's HTTP Server and publish the webservice on it?
Is there an alternative to get the JEE HTTP Server? Or was this really broken on purpose to avoid programmatic deployment on the JEE server?
Thanks in advance.

[jBPM] - Get hibernate session for own query

I am using jBPM 4.3 (embedded in war, working with JPA) and I need to support multiple tenants. So I prefix all idents with a tenant ident.
Ok so far. But when I need to query jBPM (TaskQuery, ProcessInstanceQuery) I can't add the prefix.
So I think I have to create/execute the queries on my own. Trying to do so I run into "errors" like:
[org.hibernate.hql.QuerySplitter] no persistent classes found for query class:
select processInstance from org.jbpm.pvm.internal.model.ExecutionImpl as processInstance where processInstance.parent is null and processInstance.key like '1T%'
This is probably due to using the hibernate session of the EntityManager!?
How do I have to query jBPM from within my JPA environment? How to get the correct session for not running into the problems mentioned above?
Any idea?

*Q: Which platforms are supported by* *Visual Editor?*
*A:* The list of supported platforms (and their IDs):
* Windows with Java 32-bit (win32.win32.x86)
* Linux x86 (gtk.linux.x86)
* Linux x86-64 (gtk.linux.x86_64)
* Mac OS X Cocoa with Java 32-bit (cocoa.macosx.x86)
* Mac OS X Carbon with Java 32-bit (carbon.macosx.x86) [not supported by JBoss Tools 3.3.0 and later, JBDS 5.0 and later]
In brief, Java 64-bit is supported on Linux only, on all other systems Visual Editor requires Java 32-bit.
*Q: Visual Editor does not start under Linux*
*A:* Linux users may need to do the following to get the visual editor to work correctly on their machines.
* The Visual Page Editor (before JBoss Tools 3.1.0.M4) requires the library libstdc++.so.5. This library is contained in the compat-libstdc++-33.i386 package.
* To install this package on Fedora Core or Red Hat Enterprise Linux run the following command:
yum install compat-libstdc++-33.i386
** On any other rpm based distributions download libstdc++.so.5 and run the following command:
rpm -Uvh compat-libstdc++-33.i386
** On Debian and Debian based distributions (e.g. Ubuntu) run the following command:
apt-get install libstdc++5
* In case you have the library installed and you still have issue with starting the visual page editor then close all browser views/editors and leave one visual page editor open and restart eclipse. This should force a load of the right XULRunner viewer.
*Q: Visual Editor doesn't start at any platform and shows message 'The VPE editor can't be run because your system environment needs to be changed slightly'*
*A:* Check if you version of JBoss Developer Studio/JBoss Tools is compatible with you version of Eclipse, see the compatibility matrix http://community.jboss.org/docs/DOC-14297 http://www.jboss.org/community/wiki/Matrixofsupportedplatformsruntimesand...
*Q: Visual Editor starts OK, but the following message dialog appears:*
http://community.jboss.org/servlet/JiveServlet/showImage/102-10862-38-195... http://community.jboss.org/servlet/JiveServlet/downloadImage/102-10862-38...
*A:* Some functionality of Visual Editor may not work if a project doesn't have org.jboss.tools.jsf.jsfnature or org.jboss.tools.jst.web.kb.kbnature in .project configuration. To fix this problem and turn off the message box execute next steps:
* Right mouse button click on a project in Package Explorer.
* Select +Configure -> Add JSF Capabilities+ from the context menu.
* Configure your project using +Add JSF Capabilities+ wizard and press Finish.
*P.S.* If you are shure that your project does not need JSF capabilities, just disable this message box by checking "+Do not show this dialog again!+" checkbox.
*Q: Visual Part doesn't start and "XPCOM error -2147467259" is shown*
*A:* Something bad happened with buildin xulrunner. To check it you should:
* Go to Eclipse -> Help -> About -> Installation Details... -> Configuration
* find +org.eclipse.swt.browser.XULRunnerPath+ and open this path in terminal
* try xulrunner.exe -version or ./xulrunner -version and it should show what is needed for XR to work

I am using jBPM 5. Using Eclipse BPMN Process designer, I created a process flow with a mesage event node and export it to Guvnor. I am using the KnowledgeAgent.applyChangeSet to get the resources from Guvnor. So far, so good.
The process flow ran successfully and returned when it hit the message event node, was waitng for a signalEvent. I logged in the jBPM 5 Console (jbpm-gwt-console) to see the running process. In the Process Overview, there was my process. I clicked its instance and clicked the Diagram buttion to see the diagram. Then, I got the following exception:
*org.drools.repository.RulesRepositoryException: javax.jcr.PathNotFoundException: com.company.auto.usecase5-image####*
*Caused By: javax.jcr.PathNotFoundException: com.company.auto.usecase5-image###*
The com.company.auto.usecase5 is a process pid. What is the "-image"?
Any suggestion will be appreciated.
Thanks,
bwj
