JBPM Version: 5.1
Here's what we have done.
We have JBPM processes running in standalone Java application (a WAR in JBoss server). We have the same process definition also deployed to console.
If we invoke a new instance for this process from within console, the console correctly displays it while it is running (we have some timer tasks to simular a long running process) and the console correctly shows its status as running
However, if we launch the same process from the standalone java application, we correctly see a 'new session' (in SESSIONINFO table), and we also see the new process instance in PROCESSINSTANCEINFO table in the database.
However, the console doesn't display these instances. It only displays the instances that were directly initiated in console itself.
Is this normal behavior for console? How do we make it display instances that were launched by other processes outside of console?

But if I compile my code without AOP precompilation and run its working fine.
Also its working fine with the JDK 6 compilation.
I think there is some compatibility issue here with the JDK7 or I might have to get the JBoss AOP libraries compiled with JDK7
Can you please suggest me whats going wrong here.

Hello everyone!
I was hoping to get some help with the configuration of my environment. When I start my JBoss server, everything starts up fine with no errors and I can browse to my application, however the Server still says it is "Starting" in the Server console. When I want to debug, I have to wait for it to finish and this can take 20 minutes. Below I have listed the steps and the software that I have installed.
I have new installations of Eclipse Indigo (3.7), JBoss EAP 5.1.
I have downloaded JBossAS Tools v. 2.2.0 under the JBoss Tools 3.2.x software package (url : http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/stable/ http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/stable/).
After the installation of the JBossAS Tools, I restart my Eclipse and then go to Window->Preferences->Server->Runtime Environments.
I click Add and select JBoss Enterprise Middleware, JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 5.x Runtime.
I point my runtime to the location of my JBoss installation and select "default" configuration, click Finish and OK to close the Preferences window.
Next I create a new JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 5.x server using the runtime I previously created.
I double click the new server to examine the properties.
Server Behavior is set to Local. Web Port is set to 8080. Startup Poller is "Web Port Poller". Deployment is set to use the JBoss deploy folder.
I start the server and this is the last message I get:
"17:25:06,153 INFO [ServerImpl] JBoss (Microcontainer) [5.1.0 (build: SVNTag=JBPAPP_5_1_0 date=201009150028)] Started in 23s:216ms"
I can navigate to the server page so I know the server is up and running but it still says it is "Starting".
Any thoughts on why this might be?

You could make use of human task life cycle operations - other than the most common. Depending on your scenario you could either user forward or delegate. That of course would change you process a bit, meaning you will have only one task node that once it is done by the first actor, it could be delegated to the other actor for review instead of completing it if you want to operate on the same task instance. The other person could either approve it and move on with the process flow or return it back to the previous assignee.
For more details take a look at task service section of the documentation, especially task client api.
Unfortunately you will not be able to utilize console for that, it does not cover all the task life cycle operations, afaik.

I have a couple of files that consistently cause the Freemarker IDE in JBoss Tools to throw a NPE. All my other files are fine. The error occurs when I type a "${" prefix to a variable. The error message is:
