Jan Martiska [https://community.jboss.org/people/jmartisk] created the discussion "Re: Calling an EJB from servlet" To view the discussion, visit: https://community.jboss.org/message/783296#783296 -------------------------------------------------------------- You don't have to put them both into an EAR, but you have to make sure that the servlet will 'see' the EJB's class - in this case the HelloWorld interface is enough- , that means the class will be on the classpath. Deployments are indeed isolated and don't see others' classes. You may for example copy the HelloWorld interface and put it also into the application with the Servlet. I see that there is task.getActualOwner() which gives the userID if it has already assigned one. Does jBPM engine execute a diagram with multiple pools as it's not supported in Activiti. It's available in Bonita Open Solution. If it's not possible in jBPM then how do we pass messages among two pools (processes)? I want to have two different processes in same guvnor repository (or in different repositories on different machines) and want to pass a message from one process to the other process. What I have in mind is to write a java program which will get the variable value from one process and set the variable in the other process. Is it right? Is inter process communication available by default in jBPM? If not then how will we achieve it in jBPM? I would like to mention that Bonia Open Solution has interprocess communication by default using the construct Message Flow. Thank you in anticipation. This class has a property say x of type anotherClass and a public accessor getX(). I also have a custom workitem, I want to pass x as a workitem parameter using parameter mapping. I tried passing in A.x and A.getX() in parameter mapping. But I get "There is no ID/IDREF binding for IDREF" error during process load. If the transaction use different JCA connections inside the server the only thing is to have all such resources handle XA (two phase commits) correct. Also a client can initiate the Tx if it is using the same server (you need transaction stickyness in this case). If you mean that the Tx span different server instances, i.e. two EJB's on different servers you need to have a JTS configuration instead of the (default) JTA.
