[jBPM] - Designer: escalation feature

I'm using the Desinger (web application) to define my bp but I can't find any escalation feature on user task.
I read smt at https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBPM-3044 https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBPM-3044 and although the ticket is closed I don't know how to use it in the Designer.
Btw when should be used the escalation feature (with an expired time) and when sould be used a timer event?

First of all, define a process as below, refer to below picture

In the picture, I defined above info for the reassignmenthe and notifications under usertask.
**Then, I transferred the process to guvnor as per below picture:**

The communication between component as described in Figure-01, this article use MySQL. But by default, jbpm-install with "ant start.demo" will run with H2 database. From this communication view we can separate each component deployment. Event on each application server.

h3. Separation deployment
For a beginner, with all jBPM components are twisted together:
* It's hard to tell which message of what components. When something go wrong, which one to focus, which one to just ignore.
* Need a way to check each component is up and running.
* Just a way to learn and experience with jBPM.
Purely from this experience and conclusion, this article will provides a manual installation of each jBPM-5.3.0.Final component.
h2. 2. Common bugs fix after jBPM-5.3.0.Final release
h3. Building from source-code
As a beginner I occasionally meet this kind of error {userId parameter, no result, must be positive, hornetq remote ..}. Some are must apply the fix before you can go on further. The commits after jBPM-5.3.0.Final does fix the bug but also introduces incompatible with other jBPM.5.3.0.Final. So this part will describes how to checkout Original jBPM-5.3.0.Final release source code; find the Fixed patch and apply to your local branch.
For more detailed git document, please refer to other document. This article only using related git commands.

Optional: in "mvn clean install -U -Dfull -DskipTests" above, We can add -nsu (no snapshot update) for faster build. Because we're only aware specific on 5.3.0.Final revision and its dependencies.

This command really takes a while, especially for the first time and your empty maven local repository.

The jbpm is a typical maven parent project with multiple module. Two of theme {human-task; gwt-console} are parent project too. From now on, you can use your favorite IDE with JavaEE profile to work with this checked out repository, showing diff and applying patch. Otherwise you can using git command as following example:

There aren't any configuration for Human-Task-War to bind on particular address. And by default it only listen on local address so Gwt-Console-Server cannot connect to it. Our separating deployment needs Gwt-Console-Server to connect to Human-Task, so apply the change-set below:

I have deployed 2 applications in Jboss 5.1 instance. One is Struts custom application and the other one is not.
Scenario :
After restarting of Jboss JVM, If I am accessing Struts application first and then other application I get the following error :
ERROR [org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.[jboss.web].[localhost]........
Servlet.service() for servlet jsp threw exception java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.struts2.views.jsp.ActionTag
And If I access the other app first and then the Struts application, it works fine with no error.
Both the applications have welcome.jsp as start up page.
How JBOSS caches pages in this scenario and why it is cross referencing the start pages as the application context is different for both the applications?
Also If I keep the start up page name different for both the applications then it throws no error.
Please Advise !

Tried to transfer the process definition file via eclipse, but met the problem as followed：

hi quang i complete the form that come out when i start the process but i don´t see any tasks in personal tasks of krisv to complete. In the process diagram i see that the process doesn´t advance to the HR and PM nodes but i don´t figure what other thing to do. i follow the documentation. i will do that in the files an give you feedback after.

Hi all,
I actually have the same problem. The ant start.demo works, I've put a breakpoint in the 'ksession.startProcess("com.sample.evaluation", params);' line, but when I go to the Eclipse view 'Process Instances', and having selected the 'kession' in the variables view, I get the same error:
"The selected working memory has no process instances"
The other tab, process instance, shows nothing.
Any help would be great!

Hi,
I recently downloaded JBoss Tools (for Indigo) from the Eclipse Marketplace into a fresh 32bit Indigo Eclipse environment, but had a problem I can't seem to solve.
I followed the video tutorial along and everything worked - until I tried to launch the BrowserSim, which threw an error and suggested I install Quicktime. I went ahead and installed QT, relaunched eclipse, but then got the attached error.
I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling JBoss tools. Based on other posts I read, I tried installing ITunes and Safari for good measure, I tried another new eclipse folder and workspace, but no dice there either.
Could anyone suggest some other troubleshooting steps? I'm quite stuck here. Host OS is windows 7 64bit.
