The problem is that I was not using transactions... Just surround my code in a tm.begin() and tm.commit() and it works fine. So I decide to create new one. Short flow description: After process is started user:user1 pick object:wrapper (from external Wsdl) to edit, chenge its fields and confirm changes or reject it. Eddited object is about to be placed as HT result and stored as process variables. First gateway check if object have been placed (not null - go to commit) or changes have been rejected (is null - cancel & end process) At begininig next HT (approval) log script is called, then it calls my custom EscalatedDeadlineHandler and send email to user:approver (HT2 task owner). Approval base on object:wrapper from previous HT. Approval page display edited object:wrapper and shows changes made by user:user1 As a result Boolean value isApproved has to be added to proces variables. Next gateway check isApproved = true then go to submit changes (send back to store edited object - external Wsdl) - else goes to end. Process is started correctly but I cannot see variables added at HT1 in database. I also have problem with load/ reload disposed session. My problem looks very similar to what is described very well in this thread: https://community.jboss.org/thread/169828?start=0&tstart=0 https://community.jboss.org/thread/169828?start=0&tstart=0 >From that thread it looks as if the fact that I mave my business interfaces packaged with both my ejb.jar and my web.war creates a class loading problem because each jar/war has its own class loader, which effectively makes the EJB from my ejb.jar incompatible with the business interface in my web.war. I am adding a XOR (Data-based exclusive (XOR) Gateway as its called). 2. in the properties I give it the Name: approval successfull? 3. Add one incomming connection and 2 outgoing (one labelled yes the other no) There is a process variable [approval] of type boolean. this is set in the preceeding user task. All this was done in jBPM 5.3s Guvnor, jBPM Designer Web 2.3 Release version. How do I make the XOR use the process variable [approval]? Please dont tell me it can only be done with the eclipse plugin. So what's new? *Simulation* We've added simulation capabilities to the web-based process designer, that allows you to simulate how a process might behave at runtime. This includes the addition of various simulation-related properties (like resources and duration-related attributes for tasks, and probabilities for diverging gateways etc.). That means it is completely independent of the underlying persistence provider (we use Hibernate by default but other persistence providers should be possible as well). JBoss AS 7.1.1 is now the new default application server in the installer. * Improved support for invoking web services from inside your processes. * A database-backed solution for managing which users are part of which group (UserGroupCallback). * When configuring handlers for domain-specific services, the ksession is automatically injected as an optional constructor parameter in the handler configuration file. [jBPM] - Exception handling for technical exceptions

I have a scenario where a java exception inside a work item handler should abort the workflow execution. Up until now I've been mapping this java exception to a business exception (following a suggestion by Kris in which I map the exception as an exit variable and signal from an exit action if said variable is filled) but I'd like to hide this complexity from the modellers: they should know that a service task could abort the workflow and not have to model error events for this. I see that older jBPM versions had the concept of a global exception handler. Is there any similar concept in 5.3? What is the best approach to handle this scenario? When my application is in running state I restarted my database service(Oracle). Then my application is throwing exception given below: java.sql.SQLException: No more data to read from socket But my SessionFactory object still exist. calling openSession() on sessionfactory is also fine. This exception is coming while i m retriving a record from a table (example query.uniqresult()) I think its unable to reconnect to database. please give me a solution.
