My question above is really aimed at the most useful way of using JBPM in a company environment.
>From the book I got a largely conceptual view of JBPM/BPMN2.0 with a range of possibilities for it's use.
>From the online documentation I get the mechanics but very little in the way of how it's used.
>From the installer I get a 'demo' which i've managed to replace databases with but there's very little in the way of 'this is how it should be installed and why'. Instead the details are masked by maven which I recognise the value of but also I would like to understand what's going on too.
We are looking at implementing the UK Government auto-enrollment process for pensions which is a very complicated process (or at least providing a BPMN2.0 diagram) and while I'm sold on JBPM in theory, which I have been for a long time, but I've tended to hit a brick wall when trying to implement because everything is just a bit sketchy, or is that my thinking:-)
Long story short what I'm after is some concrete pointers in terms of getting value out of using it.
For example;
Are people deploying it outside the demo framework, if so any pointers in how to do that.
Are people starting jbpm from JEE applications in ears or is it best as a standalone with remote calls to start, attach to, complete .. process. If so pointers on how to do that.
Thanks in advance for any help. I'm not asking for you to do the thinking/reading for me, just that if anybody has anything however brief on their experience to guide me, I would be very grateful.

It happens because in JPA Preferences for Project you have Platform configured as 'Generic 2.0'. This validation is fixed only for 'Hibernate (JPA 2.x)' Platform which is provided by JBoss Tools Hibernate Console.

Hi all,
I have a simple example with a boolean variable defined in my process, and in a diverging XOR I try to check this variable in order to decide which path my process must follow. This seems simple, but I get an exception, like if the process could not find the variable. Could someone help me ?

The variable name is "toto", defined in the process; the XOR gateway has "return toto=true;" for one direction, "return toto=false;" for the other direction.
The BPMN file of the process is as attachment.
Maybe if it helps... I run jBPM 5.4 on Tomcat 7.0. Process writter with Eclipse (Helios) plugin.

Hello,
I trie to create a reusable subprocess task in my process. When I open "Called Element" in the properties tab I can only see processes of the default package:

Hi.
I would like to be able to run Java files from a BPMN process started using the web task console. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I get quite lost in the documentation.
Also, I have a script task that just prints out some text using System.out.println, but when I'm using the web task console I can't see that text printed out any where. Any ideas?

Hi,
I am new to JMS, JBoss and this community too. I was trying to create a sample chat application, in which I made my machine as server (Jboss is installed and configured) , have one JMS client code (Say Client A ) (Producer and Consumer) in my machine itself and one more client code (Say Client B )in my colleague's machine (Both JMS client programs are just standalone (have main method)). When I start my Jboss with Standalone-Full profile Client A in machine is able to run but the Client B code is not able to create session factory and throwing below exception. Both Client A and Client B codes are able to message each other when they are run in my machine (using my ip address and local host as well).

Hi,
I am getting the following security exception while using jbpm BRMS_5.3 jars with jboss 7.0.2 server.
+java.lang.SecurityException: class "org.jbpm.task.SubTasksStrategy$$EnhancerByCGLIB$$8799bff0"'s signer information does not match signer information of other classes in the same package+
+java.lang.SecurityException: class "org.jbpm.process.audit.NodeInstanceLog$$EnhancerByCGLIB$$63f3ef3"'s signer information does not match signer information of other classes in the same package+
Any pointers to this issue is appreciated.
