I belive the MySQL driver interprets a database schema the same as an Oracle catalog .... but a MySQL catalog has subtle differences from a schema and does not play well with hibernate. My standard fix up (workaround) is to immediately remove the catalog property. I most frequently use Forge to reverse engineer and generate a CRUD webapp ..... so it's become routine for me. Thanks to Eric for reporting the issue .... How to create an audit section inside a security-domain using Jboss as Maven Plugin

I am trying to create a security domain using Jboss as Maven plugin: I want to declare an audit provider-module inside the security domain. [jBPM] - Advice on how to set up a network deployment

So, the solution is: always check your MDB configuration! because even with missing or invalid value in maxSession JBoss will create by default 20 connections! @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "maxSession", propertyValue="3") We were setting this value automatically during build and deployment process and maxSession configuration for one MDB got missing. I would expect to see some warning or even error when JBoss can't parse maxSession value to integer but it fails silently instead.
