Max,

By disable, do you mean "ignore"?  I seem to have been able to turn off the
validation by changing all of the validation elements for Seam to "ignore".

I'll look into the second method which would be to totally disable the validation -
though I really do like the concept.

Are you guys getting tired of me yet? :)
