I'm also having trouble invoking @WebRemote via the supported JavaScript Remoting support. It doesn't appear that method is even being invoked and there isn't any exceptions or other information in the logs. Although when debugging is enabled the popup displays that it is invoking the method and then displays a response of an empty packet.
