A full GC every minute? That is because you removed the following options from the JAVA_OPTS that came with JBoss AS: set JAVA_OPTS=%JAVA_OPTS% -Dsun.rmi.dgc.client.gcInterval=3600000 -Dsun.rmi.dgc.server.gcInterval=3600000 By default, the rmi code calls System.gc() every minute.
