Same problem. I followed the jboss doc at http://docs.jboss.org/jbossas/jboss4guide/r4/html/ch13.html and it seems that the doc is a little out-dated. The SessionFactory was not bound to the JNDI name. Another thing I wonder is: the hibernate-service.xml only offers a certain number of configuration options for hibernate, what if I need to set other configuration options for Hibernate?
