hi, I have used the binding manager and the ports-01 server configuration in sample-bindings.xml as a template in order to specify the ports that JBoss 4.2.3 default server listens on. I think I am missing something though as there are always three ports reported (using netstat, active ports or process explorer) as listening on ports which appear to be assigned randomly on start up of the server. All the other listening ports reliably use the ports that I configured. There are always three listening threads on dynamically assigned ports though. Firstly, what are they? Secondly, can I configure them to fit neatly into the range of ports that has been assigned to the system on the server?
