Not sure what your first question is about seam-ide. I'm not aware of any such thing at this point, though there will be later this summer. CVS is working fine. I followed the instructions at http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=SeamRepository, with username/password anonymous and default port (which is 2401). I just did a sync, so not sure what the problem is. You might try "telnet anoncvs.forge.jboss.com 2401" and see if you can establish a connection, which would rule out firewall issues for certain.
