I looked at that. I haven't tried it but it sounds exactly like what is needed: a way to let JSF components have dependencies that are external to the page (html) being rendered. This is going to be more and more of a need as time goes on, because, as I said, I'm sure we're going to start wanting Flash files and tons of other stuff. Like I might have a component that's s:playMusic, that would render as a Flash player for a music track. That will need the flash file, and then it will need to be able to serve the music data.
