Let me try to restate your problem to see if I'm understanding: you can render your actual portlet, but on clicking the hyperlink in the JSP page, the hyperlink is not working? Unless the forum stripped your HTML there, I'm assuming it's because you don't have a protocol (http://) before your link href? If you don't add a protocol to the URL, your browser is probably trying to resolve the href as a relative path.
