For your other question re:ajax persistence. You need to be logged in and go to "Dashboard" on the top-right. Any window movements you make *there* are persisted. This way, users will only be able to modify *their* pages, and not the shared pages, the administrator configures. More options for users will be soon to come in the dashboard area.
