jbpm-3.2.GA is working now with jboss-4.2.CR after removing the following JARs from the
jbpm-console WAR:

hibernate3.jar
dom4j.jar
el-api.jar 
el-ri.jar 
jsf-api.jar 
jsf-impl.jar
