The patch installer assume jboss.server.config is set to all - IF you overwrite it to default (witch is possible if you picked ejb3 in Web installer) please be aware that it copies files that will make JBoss throw some exceptions dying startup. I have identified: ejb3-clustered-sfsbcache-service.xml ejb3-entity-cache-service.xml (Both in the deploy dir) if I remove them then the server starts without exceptions - maybe there are others....
