Peter, We're using 1.4.2. I cleared out the ~server/xxx/tmp directory and got the same results. I went through several iterations of prior ideas until finally, I found an obscurely named .jar file in a subdirectory of the deploy directory that had an old version of the class file in it. I updated that, and problem solved.
