I assume that you provided a name for the window when you attempted to add the portlet to the page. The name goes into the text field to the left of the drop-down list box. I don't think that the errors you are seeing mean anything. I get them too but I am able to add portlets to the page. Also, did you see http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=89146?
