I figured out the problem with my environment . I had another version of javaassit.jar in my environment ( javassist-3.4.ga.jar which comes with tapestry , we are using tapestry ). Once I took javassist-3.4.ga.jar out , my aspects started working. But I an still wondering why Jboss aspects are dying silently without any warning or error .
