It's due to the fact that since JBoss 4.2 (or so) you can't have more than one local-tx datasource. You have a few options: 1. Use the default Seam dispatcher (no persistent timers) 2. Change your datasources to have at least one as xa 3. Change the database policy for the ejb timer to be non-persistent.
