okay.. Digging a little deeper and i found that all task instances will show up, that were created for this process definition. If you see taskInstance.hasEnded() for each task instance, then the one that was ended by "end-tasks='true'" will show as false. Try using "taskMgtIntance.getUnfinishedTasks(token)".
