verified that the user  has access to the 'spring' schema. Also tried changing the
user to 'sys ' account with no luck.

What is the relevance of hibernate.default_catalog setting? I tried setting this option as
well.

Is there an option to turn on debugging so that I can see what queries are getting
triggered?
