I thought I was using RC9, because I used the 4.0.5 installer I just downloaded from http://labs.jboss.com/portal/jbossas/download I selected EJB3 profile. After investigating the manifest in jboss-4.0.4.GA\server\default\deploy\ejb3.deployer says RC8, but the one from the new installer found in jboss-4.0.5.GA\server\default\deploy\ejb3.deployer says RC7.
