First, do not place JBoss AS in a directory whose path contains a space - your re only asking for problems if you do. Therefore, rename "c:\jboss 5.1.0" to "c:\jboss-5.1.0". If that fixes the problem, ignore the rest of this message. Second, does the file C:\Jboss 5.1.0\jboss-5.1.0.GA\server\default\data\jnp-service.url exist? If so, what are its security settings? If the file does not exist, what are the security settings on the C:\Jboss 5.1.0\jboss-5.1.0.GA\server\default\ directory and the C:\Jboss 5.1.0\jboss-5.1.0.GA\server\default\data\ directory?
