Also I did make sure that the jar file that contains my SessionEJBBean, SessionEJB, SessionEJBLocal is not in the WEB-INF/lib directory of my webapp.war (it was at one time) so as not to have problems with the classloader. It is only in the ear file. But I am still having the same problem. I am casting the interface and not the implementing class which I believe is the right thing to do. Can't get past this.
