A couple more questions:

Are you deploying clustered or non clustered destinations (look for the clustered
attribute on the destination mbean config)?

Are you using the JCA JMS resource asaptor (the one at java:/JmsXA)?

If you are using the JCA resource adaptor, what does your jms-ds.xml look like?
