I've coded this out, hopefully about as elegant as one can in that sections of code ;) Changed three source files. Should I make a JIRA and submit the diffs for review? Point is that I want to be able to have a whole directory or all of a site to default e.g. to <begin-conversation join="true" /> unless it is overridden.
