I don't know if it helps with your diagnosis at all, but I have been "shutting
down" the server on my WinXP dev box by right-clicking "End Process" in
Task Manager. So in this case I doubt StatefulTreeCache.stop() is ever being called?
Still, I guess it should be able to handle unexpected termination like this gracefully
anyway...
