Hi, 1.4.2 will be released very soon. 
The required remoting version is 2.2.2.SP10-brew

latest work will be found at:
http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/messaging/branches/Branch_1_4

we can't guarantee it's working until the 1.4.2.GA release is finished.
