does anyone have any ideas?  The possible things that I've thought of are:

1.  It's a bug in the oracle12.zip driver
2.  It's a bug in the Jboss CMP
3.  It's a bug in my code.

I'm inclined to think it's a bug in my code, and I'd like to try to learn how
I can do it more elegantly.  Any ideas/help would be appreciated.
