[Tomcat, HTTPD, Servlets & JSP] - How do you make maxSpareThreads work? - jboss-user

I've had it saying this for a couple of hours now:

Max spare threads: 50 
Current thread count: 250 
Current thread busy: 2

When is it going to start shutting down the unused threads? How can I make it do it
faster?

(JBoss 4.0.4.GA, Tomcat 5.5 I think.)
