There are some WSRP administration operations that can only be done via the WSRP admin portlet, in particular, activating an inactive producer. Note also that the XML file is only used to seed the database. If a producer with a given name is found in the database, any information pertaining to a producer with the same name in the XML configuration will be ignored.
