I checked whether the external db port is listening and that it works fine. Then i have one major doubt. They have given the Instance name as MSSQLSERVER. So do i need to change my ds name in the portal-mssql-ds.xml from PortalDS to MSSQLSERVER. Then i have configured the standardjaws.xml login-config.xml and also the standardjbosscmp-jdbc.xml also accordingly to suit this. But still i am getting the problem 401 and 500.
