No - definitely something to look into. Weird though, since preloading takes place *before* the cache enters it's STARTED state, i.e., between STARTING and STARTED. That said, there were a few obscure lifecycle issues in 2.0.0 which were fixed in 2.1.X so I'd recommend trying out 2.1.1.GA. And 2.2.0.CR2, which is even better in terms of lifecycle management.
