These logs appear to be from 3.0.2.GA. Did you try trunk (or 3.1.0-SNAPSHOT)? WL's TM sets a transaction's status as MARKED_ROLLBACK_ONLY when a transaction times out, and at a later point, processes the rollback with a maintenance thread.
