1. Anyone have an example of doing this? I see you can register a web service in jndi via a descriptor, and retrieve; so I'd expect you could inject and call getPort? 2. I see that the answer requires jsr-237 or using an implementation like commonJ. Is there going to be an out-of-the-box service in a future JBOSS, or is commonJ adequate.
