From the inventive minds of Lost executive producers Adam Horowitz and
Edward Kitsis comes a bold new imagining of the world, where fairy tales and the
modern-day are about to collide. And they all lived happily ever after - or so everyone
was led to believe. Emma Swan knows how to take care of herself. She's a 28-year-old
bail bonds collector who's been on her own ever since she was abandoned as a baby. But
when the son she gave up years ago finds her, everything starts to change. Henry is now 10
years old and in desperate need of Emma's help. He believes that Emma actually comes
from an alternate world and is the missing daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming.
According to his book of fairytales, they sent her away to protect her from the Evil
Queen's curse, which trapped the fairytale world forever, frozen in time, and brought
them into our modern world. Of course Emma doesn't believe a word, but when she brings
Henry back to Storybrooke, she finds herself drawn to this unusual boy and his strange New
England town. Concerned for Henry, she decides to stay for a while, but she soon suspects
that Storybrooke is more than it seems. It's a place where magic has been forgotten,
but is still powerfully close... where fairytale characters are alive, even though they
don't remember who they once were. Emma will have to accept her destiny and fight for

Mr. Gold wants to search for Bae, so he tests a new spell on a reluctant guinea pig.
Meanwhile, Belle runs into Hook; Mary Margaret and David look for a larger home; and back
in fairy-tale land, Belle teams up with Mulan to conquer a terrifying creature.
When Regina is accused of murdering a beloved fairytale character, Emma thinks she is
innocent; Prince Charming and Snow White plan the evil queen's execution.
Hook and Cora face off with Emma and Mary Margaret in a race for the compass; Mr. Gold and
Regina plan to kill anyone who enters the portal.
A fed-up Belle threatens to leave Mr. Gold, and then she encounters someone from her past.
Meanwhile, the dwarfs mine for fairy dust; and, back in fairy-tale land, Rumplestiltskin
tries to prevent his wife from being taken by a gang of ruthless pirates.
Emma and Mary Margaret, with the aid of Mulan, Aurora and brave knight Lancelot, attempt
to find a portal that will bring them back to Storybrooke. But a dark force threatens
their safe return. And Henry tries to talk Jefferson into reuniting with his daughter.
Meanwhile, back in the fairytale land that was, on the eve of meeting Prince
Charming's mother, King George poisons Snow White, and the only antidote lies within
the waters of the Lady of the Lake.
Regina is determined to get her powers back; David keeps looking for Mary Margaret and
Emma; and the seven dwarfs learn why it's unwise to leave town. Meanwhile, in the
fairy-tale world, bride-to-be Regina meets a man who promises her magic and freedom.
In the aftermath of Gold’s actions at the wishing well, the people of Storybrooke must
come to grips with the knowledge of what they once were... and are again.
