Some folks have done it, it is possible.
You need to make sure your JGroups setup does not clash - i.e., make sure the JGroups
multicast address and port in the JBC 2.x setup is not the same as the JGroups multicast
address and port for your AS cluster. Also, make sure your JBC 2.x jar (and it's
dependencies) reside in your WAR or EAR file.
This way your app can use JBC 2.x while JBoss AS will still use JBC 1.4.x for it's
clustering.
