I am receiving similar issues while migrating from mysql to IDS. It appears that while creating the timers and the hilosequences table jboss throws this error due to some syntax problem. In earlier version of jboss (4.0.0 and prior), i believe in the ejb-deployer.xml there were explicit sql statements to create the timers table and that was hsql db specific and hence the users used to see this error. in the 4.0.1 version i don't see the sql and hence i am not sure where those sqls are coz that might be the culprit.
