JBoss Portal 2.2.1 uses an old version of Tomahawk and MyFaces. If you add your own jar, make sure that you are using the exact same version of MyFaces found in /jsf-libs. Also make sure the tomahawk.jar jar is the exact same one found in JBoss Portal. It looks like you are using Sun's JSF implementation. That probably won't work with the old version of Tomahawk. Upgrading the tomahawk version in Portal 2.2 is problematic. The easiest path is to use JBoss Portal 2.4 and stick with MyFaces.
