There are several years between these events (not liking ORM, selling early Spring to
early Hibernate users, adding more wrappers for other tools, and so on). I have no doubt
that Rod Johnson now understands ORM better than in his first book and that he realized at
some point that the fast adoption of Spring can be attributed to its function as a
Hibernate wrapper.
