[Persistence, JBoss/CMP, Hibernate, Database] - Error 8. Lost connection to server - jboss-user

Hello,

in my application i perform several queries to an odbc database. After 10 or 11 queries, i
get the "Error 8. Lost connection to server" and jboss restarts. If i do the
same in an java desktop application, it works. 
I've no idea, what the error means or how to solve it.
