Is it possible to run the jsp engine without the app server?

I'd like to startup a jvm, have it execute a jsp, output the results, then have the
jvm exit.

If JBoss cannot do this, can any other jsp engine?

What is the startup / shutdown time for any jsp engine that can run sans app server?
