This behaviours is not always needed, but I think currently it can not be stopped. it can chew up resource pretty badly when u have it inside ui:repeat etc.... there are times I don't want to use s:link, but do it just because it supports action attribute. It would be nice if it has some conditional attribute like initialize-page-params="false", default to true.
