I had to hack into the facelets classes with reflection, couldn't find another way to resolve the strings. The API seems only to allow methodinfo and invoke. It works with JSF 1.2 RI, it should work with myfaces too, but I haven't tested it. I tried to avoid introducing dependency on facelets, but I am not sure if that was successful either.
