Supporting EL functions seems to me to be orthogonal to having the new EL. EL functions
are a standard part of JSTL-EL, and I'm guess the code Tom is currently using supports
them....
s:hasRole() in jBPM EL.

Currently, jBPM uses its own forked EL (which is a problem to begin with....). This means
that it can't see the s: functions.
We need to fix this problem ASAP.
