Michael,
I didn't see this issue, but raised another one on the forums and in Jira. I think
the approach that I and atao have taken is a little better than the one outlined here, but
that's my opinion.
It doesn't change the usage of seam-gen and simply adds the nice seam-gen features
into the build.xml within your project, making them handy to access from within your IDE.
Check it out and use your best judgement.

Support seam-gen property files in project directories, and the
SEAM_HOME/seam-gen/build.properties is just the "default" property file if you
do not specify the target project.
